Model Symbol : KA, KS, KC, KL, KV, KH

KA Type Basic type

Standard configuration for general purposes.

KS Type Wide inlet type

Wide inlet opening for transferring liquids with high concentration and low fluidity.

KC Type For dehydrated cake

For transferring dehydrated sludge cake with very low fluidity.

KV Type For vertical suction

The pump suction is directly dipped into the liquid to pump high viscosity liquids

KL Type Small capacity type

For precision injection of small volumes.

KH Type Hopper type

To store and transfer the liquid by making the pump casing in the form of a storage hopper.

KKF Type Tank integrated Sanitary
T Lifter combined
KVT Type Vertical type with lifter
P API Code
KAP Type API Pump

KA pumps used in petrochemical plants

Pump size indicating Rotor diameter : 4 ~ 150

It is a model number related to the diameter of the rotor, and the larger the rotor diameter, the larger the discharge volume.
Pump Size Number
(Rotor Diameter φ)
4 6 8 10 15 20 30 40 50 60 69 80 89 100 120 150
Theoretical Discharge
Volume per Rotation(cc/rev)
0.23 0.9 2 3.9 14 32 108 256 474 864 1,440 2,048 2,560 4,000 6,912 13,500

The above is for the basic model, and the discharge volume of the low concentration type(K22~K152) is twice of the basic type.

Under the same discharge volume, a small pump may be selected with fast rotation, whereas a large pump shall be selected with slow rotation. It may seem that selection of the small pump with fast rotation is economical, however, the stable performance and durability can be guaranteed by selecting a proper speed of rotations to meet the service liquid and the operational conditions.

Please refer to the pump size number according to the Size and Performance graph.

Number of Stages of Rotor/Stator : None ~ 8

The required number of stages is selected according to the discharge pressure.
Number Number of Stages Discharge Pressure (kg/cm²) Number of Stages is proportional to Discharge Pressure
None-abrasive Low-abrasive High-abrasive
None 1단 6 4 2
2 2단 12 8 4
4 4단 24 16 8
8 8단 48 32 16
